If you have a wife or girlfriend who is something of a fashionista then you can get into her good books this Christmas by choosing clothes as her present. Many men break out into a sweat when they think about buying clothes for the woman in their life, thinking they will get it all wrong. However, with a little careful thought and planning you could come up with the perfect fashionable gift for her. Clothing makes a great present for a woman, especially if you get it right – it shows that you have thought about who she is and the kind of things she likes. You can easily pick up a few clues from your wife or girlfriend to help you on your search for the perfect item of clothing this Christmas.
The first thing that you can do to help you work out what might be a good choice of clothing for your wife or girlfriend is to carefully study and analyze her taste in clothes. Does she love jeans? Does she like to change her look with coats or jackets? Is she more of a dress and skirt type of girl than a jeans and t-shirt girl? Try to work out the things she loves and then build on this theme. Finding an item of clothing that is similar to something she loves and wears a lot could be a good choice, particularly if you can find it in a designer label or a range of clothing that she would normally only consider for special occasions. Although lingerie or sexy nightwear might be a good choice for some wives and girlfriends, some women can take offence if this is bought for them as a gift. She may feel that you are hinting that things need to be spicier in the bedroom if you choose sexy garments. If the woman in your life has specified that she would like some lingerie then all you have to worry about is getting the size right – but avoid it if your partner can be sensitive.
Choose an item in a color that you know she loves and that you know suits her. Obviously avoid reds, oranges and pinks if your wife or girlfriend is a redhead and consider avoiding browns and tans for a brunette partner. Black is a safe bet especially for a dress but not all women like wearing black so make sure you have a look through her wardrobe to see which colors are most prominent – these will probably be the colors she feels most confident wearing.
